Coaching Focus and Specific Issues
The 'focus' of your coaching program, are those issues that are of concern to you right now. This is what you and your coach 'focus' on, in your work together.

Although the coaching focus differs between individuals, the coaching process remains the same. During the process, your coach invites you to explore your world, and uses coaching tools to support you in making changes in your life.

One of the main 'tools' is your own skill of self-observation. This allows you to see the patterns you want  to change. You can't change what you can't see. We also teach you some powerful techniques that help deepen your observation skills. One example is the 'movie-technique', that allows you to see the repeating patterns that create negative cycles in your life.

What's Your Story?

We all have 'stories'. Stories are part of your habitual thinking patterns, so much so, that you hardly notice them. Yet they exert a powerful hold over you, especially when it comes to spreading your wings, and doing the things you would want to do with your life.

The mind-body connection
The stories we continuously tell ourselves, keep us in the same patterns, repeating the same behaviour, because of the mind-body connection. When we hear the 'story' repeating itself, we experience the same emotions, and that is what keeps us limited.

Your body believes what your mind tells it. So if you repeatedly think 'I'm not good enough', then you won't feel good enough. It is the feeling that holds you back. You won't have the same edge, for example when you attend an interview, as someone who is thinking 'I am good enough'. This is just one example, and each of us has many of these 'gremlins' to contend with.

Do any of these sound familiar: he/she doesn't love me... I can't get it right... why is it always me?... it's bound to go pear-shaped... I'm running late again.... there isn't enough time... this will make me late now... I can't seem to get on top of things... what will people think...


Banish Your Gremlins!
All of the above are simply ideas. Thoughts that you have picked up somewhere along the way, internalised, and made your own. When you unwittingly feed them, they become your 'gremlins' and they run your life.

Changing your story involves more than just positive thinking. Thinking 'I am good enough' while you still believe you're not, just won't work. This is many peoples' experience of 'positive thinking'. It doesn't work because you can't gloss over how you really feel. You have to go to the root of the issue.

We work with you to understand the root of your limiting beiefs, so you can change your story, and change the emotional state. Practice makes perfect and over time, you begin to believe that you are good enough, because it is true. You know it and you feel it. Your new belief then becomes unshakable.

You don't need to do it alone...
We all have these inner 'gremlins'. They may show up differently, but we all have them and while it's true that you do have to solve these issues for yourself, you don't have to do it alone.

Interrupt the pattern...
A skilled coach will interrupt you. By interrupting the pattern, you stand outside of yourself, and get to see your own story, and how it runs you. This puts you in the position of being abe to stop repeating unhelpful patterns, and to use your creativity to create new patterns that support your life.

Putting YOU in the driving seat...
This puts YOU in control of your own life. You are  no longer a victim of unconscious habit, but through making conscious choices, you become master of your own destiny.

Coaching supports you in befriending your inner world, so that you can identify where you lose your power and change long-standing patterns of disempowerment.  This is how coaching enables you to recalim your power, feel more balanced, take control of your life and feel calmer, confident, clear and focused.
