| Q. What
is a Life Coach? |
| A. Just as a Football
Coach coaches players to succeed at football, so a Life
Coach coaches people to 'succeed' at life. It's your
life, so you get to decide what success looks like for you. Whatever
that is, we'd love to help you to get there as quickly as possible. In
football you can't afford to take your eye off the ball. In the game of
Life, the ball is you. Why not register

| Q.What
is Life Coaching? |
|
A.
Coaching is a powerful tool for liberating human potential.
Coaching
is a powerful tool for liberating human potential which is why no top
sports player would dream of not having one.
Life Coaching
is a new profession which has evolved in the field of personal or
self-development. There have always been 'coaches' throughout history -
although 'coaching' may not have been the word they used to describe
how they supported, inspired, encouraged and motivated others. In the
game of Life today's top players are using Life Coaches.
|
| |
| Life Coaching draws
upon the skills, wisdom and knowledge of various disciplines and
sciences: psychology, business, evolution, philosophy, spirituality,
quantum physics and finance; and then applies them in a specific
tailored way to benefit individual clients. |
| |
|
Our
Life Coaches apply a wealth of skills and wisdom on a one-to-one or
group basis to bring out the best in you, nurture your
self-development, deepen your awareness, improve your personal
effectiveness, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
Coaching deepens our awareness in whichever area we choose to focus our
attention.
This
has immediate practical benefits such as improving your personal,
career and business success. As our awareness deepens, we clearly see
what it is that has held us back, or got in our way, and what we can do
to move forward.
With
deepening awareness we open ourselves to receive lasting rewards such
as emotional and spiritual intelligence, personal fulfillment,
Self-realisation and Consciousness.
How
far do you choose to go? That's up to you.
|
| |
| Our definition of coaching is simply this: |
|
Coaching is a powerful tool for liberating human
potential.
|
| |
|
What is Process Coaching?
Process coaching supports people who
are committed
to their own inner journey, or inner process. It goes a little deeper
than Life Coaching and is person-centred in its' approach. The focus is
deeper awareness, peeling layers and letting go of our 'story'.
It is ideal for coaches, counsellors,
therapists
and those on a spiritual track who are committed to personal
transformation by deepening self-awareness.

| Q. How
does coaching work? |
| A. In the coaching
relationship your coach and you co-create a nurturing environment which
encourages and accelerates your growth. It is a 'safe' space in which
you feel the freedom to express your true self. A positive, nurturing,
space in which you discover your strengths, gifts and talents. A place
where you can think, reflect, plan, play, experiment, learn, discover,
create and take bolder action than you ever thought you could.
Transformation happens through the combined effect of: |
| |
| Teamwork: Coach
and coachee(s) become a partnership, or team. The coach is a peer or
'equal'. You can use your coach as a 'sounding board' to test your
ideas. Your coach will sometimes bring his or her ideas to the table to
give you more choices. |
| |
| Focus: You,
as the coachee, always set the agenda. We focus only on your goals and
on creating the strategy for you to achieve them. |
| |
| Structure:
You set, define and refine your goals. We
identify what is needed to
bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to
be. We co-create your strategy. We break the overwhelmingly
'big' goals down into 'do-able' pieces. We do this within a
timescale. This provides the structure within which your dreams can
become reality. |
| |
| Commitment:
You make a personal commitment to achieving
your goals. Then you commit
yourself to whatever steps are necessary to make them a reality.
|
| |
| Accountability:
There is something about sharing your plans
with another person that
makes you more likely to stick to them. For example: imagine you tell
yourself you will give up sugar. Then one hour into the first day
someone offers you a piece of chocolate. It's so easy to have the
chocolate and tell yourself you can always begin again tomorrow. What
if you have told a friend of your plans, and you knew they would ask
how you are getting along? It somehow strengthens your resolve. |
| |
| Easy and
effective self-management: Being
accountable to yourself is only the beginning. You also need to manage
yourself well. This means not only managing your time but managing,
maintaining and developing systems to maintain your personal
effectiveness, your health and well-being, your personal finances, your
home, your car, your relationships with others and your own
learning, growth and development. There's probably alot more to
managing and caring for you than you realise and we'd rather you put
permanent structures in place for yourself that allow this to be easy.
We don't want this to have to be a huge effort on your part so we
co-create easy, simple, self-care systems with you, which permanently
support you and give you more energy. |
| |
| Momentum:
Checking in with your coach at regular periods by telephone and e-mail:
|
- helps
you to stay focused on your bigger vision
- allows
you to review your immediate goals
- inspires
you and
- keeps
your energy and momentum going
|
| |
|
Experiential and Action-learning:
The weekly coaching call is only the
beginning. The real
learning takes place in between calls as you take action, make changes
in your life, become aware of how you experience yourself in each
moment, then reflect and learn from those actions and experiences.

| Q. Who
Works With A Coach? |
| A. People who love
self-development. People who are excited by the idea of surpassing
their own potential and creating their reality. People who want to grow
and evolve. People who want to live life consciously. People who want
to discover what life is all about. People just like you. |
| |
| People from varying walks of life use coaches for different reasons:
teachers, students, business owners, journalists, nurses, doctors,
accountants, web designers, counsellors, therapists, artists, writers,
authors, sales and marketing professionals, firemen, policemen,
restaurant owners, managers, musicians, celebrities, politicians and
coaches themselves. Almost anybody can use a coach, whether you choose
to depends on how willing you are to transform
yourself... |
| |
| It is success rather than failure which we fear the
most: |
| |
"Our
deepest fear is not that we
are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. We ask
ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant , gorgeous, talented, fabulous?'
Actually who are you NOT to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't
feel unsure around you.
We are born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just within some of us;
It is in every one.
As we let our light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates
others."

|
| Can you even imagine how magnificent you are?
Most of us believe we are who we have been
told. We believe in our
powerlessness, low self-esteem, worthlessness and lack of confidence.
We believe all these limiting ideas about ourselves and we never
challenge them. Most of us have never even scratched the surface of our
own magnificence. If you believe you are who you think you are... think
again. |

| Q. Is
coaching a form of counselling or therapy? |
| No, there are very clear differences. The obvious
difference is between sickness and health. Therapists work where there
is ill health to diagnose and offer therapeutic treatments. A coach
never diagnoses or suggests any form of treatment. Coaches work with
normal healthy growth. We acknolwedge emotions as they arise, as part
of developing emotional health and fitness. This is done from the
perspective of the normal healthy emotions which we all experience as
we go through life's changes. Emotional
intelligence is all about allowing for healthy emotional
growth. |

| |
| Q.
Where does the coaching take place? |
| A. Most coaching for
individuals, groups and small business owners takes place over the
telephone with support by e-mail. It is much more expedient since we
spend more time coaching and less time in travelling to and from
destinations. It also saves on travelling expenses for both parties. |
| |
| In-person coaching is usually arranged for larger
groups, businesses and organisations, especially if this is associated
with training packages and speaking engagements. |

| Q. What is the relationship between
coaching and emotional intelligence? |
|
A. Emotional and Social
Intelligence encompasses a wide skill set which includes
communication, intuition, our ability to sense what others are feeling,
self-awareness and an ability to communicate what we are feeling to
others. It involves advanced communication on many levels. The
skill-set involved in the coaching process is analogous with advanced
communication skills.
Coaching, as a tool which develops
ones
self-awareness, communication and relationship skills, is therefore a
useful and effective tool for developing emotional and social
intelligence, within teams and individuals.
