"I wanted to say how much I enjoyed the presentation you gave ...and to compliment you on your presentation skills - I spend a great deal of my life public speaking and also having to listen to other speakers who, quite honestly, more often than not bore the pants off me. Your style, content and delivery were extremely impressive..."

-Chris Barrow, Business Coach, The Business Coaching Co Ltd

"I loved your dynamic approach to helping people and the way you do it with such a sense of humour"

C.C. Liverpool, UK

"thank you for your stirring contribution. All evaluation forms for your presentation were positive and full of praise... the most exciting thing was that many delegates felt that it would help them in their workplace to change their practice and attitude. So a big thank-you... for adding to our conference in such a motivating way"

-Polly Ferguson, Royal College of Midwives. (UK)

New to Teleclasses?

Many of our group coaching programs are held as a 'teleclass'.

A Teleclass is a class held over the telephone.

You don't need any special equipment to attend.

You dial in using a normal telephone.

Classes are international with participants dialling in from around the world. Full instructions are provided on registration. Teleclasses are provided over the telephone using a 'bridge' number, which enables up to 150 people to be on the call at the same time. To participate in any of the above classes all you need is access to e-mail (to receive class notes) and a telephone. You can participate in a teleclass from anywhere in the world.

True, you pay the cost of a telephone call but you save on driving, time, fuel and parking costs. You could even take part without getting out of bed. We recommend that you DO get out of bed though - since snoring can be a little disruptive to other class participants! Learning doesn't get much easier than this. Simply call the bridge number you have been given at the time your class is due to begin. Booking a class is easy too: just click on the registration button above and register online. Our online payment service is fast, easy and secure. For free classes it couldn't be easier just dial the number provided.

Teleconferencing 'bridge' numbers We use both UK and US bridge numbers depending upon which is most cost effective at the time for our class participants to dial into. You will be informed which number you are dialling upon registration.

Non-UK residents: If you live outside the UK you can still join our personal and group coaching programs. Pay online using our online payment system we do the currency conversion for you. Your credit card is charged the equivalent exchange rate for that day in your local currency.

Call charges

Call charges are often of concern to people who are new to teleclasses. At the time of writing we are mainly using US numbers because it is actually cheaper for callers in the UK than a UK number. You are charged by whatever rate your phone provider charges for overseas calls to the USA. At the moment some companies in the UK are offering free calls to the USA after 6pm (GMT) and as low as 1p per minute at other times.

We suggest you shop around and arrange the best deal for you before registering for a teleclass. We will always let you know if you are dialling the US or the UK. If we use UK bridge numbers they are usually an 0845 number and callers in the UK are charged national rate by their telecom provider. (usually 10p per minute).

If you are dialling a UK bridge from overseas we suggest you check with your telecom/phone company how much you will be charged before dialling in.  Calls usually last 55 minutes unless otherwise stated in your class information.

To dial the USA from the UK prefix the bridge number with 001. Visit international dialling codes to find out the dialling code from other countries.

Teleclass 'Etiquette' (Basic 'do's and don'ts' of teleconferencing)

  1. Please call from a regular, wired, telephone connected to a land line. Avoid using cordless phones, speaker phones, internet or mobile telephones as these can cause loud noise interference which is annoying and extremely disruptive for other class participants.
  2. At the class time, call the bridge number you have been given. Only call that number at class time, not before or after the class. No-one is there except during a scheduled class time.
  3. When you first dial in to the bridge you will hear other people talking. Please wait until there is a break in the conversation, or the class leader asks if anyone else joined the call, before introducing yourself. Feel free to say 'Hi this is Mary from Manchester' or whatever. During the call, as the class leader asks questions, please remember to say your name every time before speaking your answer. This way the group learns who everyone is more quickly.
  4. You may come in late, but please don't speak when coming in because you may interrupt the call. Listen quietly and come up to speed with the discussion.
  5. The teleclasses are discussion-based, meaning that the instructor starts off with key points and invites everyone to contribute something. If you prefer to sit back and listen, that's fine too. The format is like a discussion in a class room or a living room, except that it's on the phone.
  6. Depending upon the nature of the class, there could be up to 150 people on the call. (Though numbers are usually between 5 and 20) When groups are large there is often increased chance of interference and echoing. On a bridge line this is magnified. Don't be surprised if the class leader invites you to drop off the call and dial back in. This is a routine way to clear interference and allow the bridge to re-set itself. It is nothing unusual in teleclasses.
  7. When the class is over feel free to say goodbye to everyone, then just hang up. Please don't stay on the line after the call is over as the telephone conferencing system needs to reset itself.
  8. And finally? Enjoy yourself! Teleclasses are new and may appear strange at first but you will be amazed how quickly you can get used to them. Some people even report that their listening skills (and consequently their learning skills) improve because there are fewer distractions. In this way, learning by teleclass can be accelerated and more focused - especially with an experienced coach and teleclass leader facilitating the call.
